You have complex issues that people too often dismiss or ignore. You feel like no one understands what you’re going through. You are often left feeling invalidated and unheard.

Perhaps you feel you have trouble living a whole and fulfilled life in the context of your struggles. You feel like no one can help you. You feel like you are suffering in silence.

Hello, I am Shannon …

And I get it.

I have been through my own chronic health and mental health struggles and have had support to live a life of contentment despite these concerns. I am here to help people who are in a similar “dark hole” as I was in.

Some of my strongly held personal values include growth, empathy and purpose. These values lead me to help people live lives full of contentment even when still working through their struggles.

What is it like working with me …

Empathy comes first. I use a person-centered approach, often with a blend of appropriate and evidence-based therapeutic modalities. You are unique and we will work together to find what best suits your needs. I have advanced training in a variety of therapy modalities including Acceptance and Commitment therapy, expressive arts, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy. I also have advanced training in areas such as neurodivergence, trauma and some women-specific concerns.

I know and believe things will change …

I have found that people have the incredible ability to accept themselves where they are at and work towards something that better suits their needs and experiences. It is a process that takes time and effort, but when it happens, their perspective on life's challenges often change.

But is there hope for me?

There is hope. When the focus changes from making situations and symptoms go away to living the life you want even with your struggles, that is the space in which change happens. So often there is an emphasis on “happiness,” when what people are really looking for is contentment. I’d be honored to be your guide in creating and finding contentment in your life.
