You did it – you got your degree, graduated college, and celebrated this huge accomplishment. 

But, now what? 

That’s the question everyone asks as soon as that last year of college comes around. Will you go to graduate school? Will you get a job? What kind of job? Where? How much will you earn? Will you be able to support yourself?

It’s overwhelming and exhausting. Suddenly those future plans are in front of your face now, and you're not sure they’re right for you anymore. Are you even ready for the changes? Being at work by 8:00 a.m. will be much harder than getting to class by 10:00 a.m. Meetings and quick lunch breaks sound less entertaining than late night Chinese food with friends. You wonder if your co-workers will like you. Will you like them?

Reality is hitting. And it’s terrifying. 

Embarking into the “real world” after graduation is one of the most difficult transitions that happen to us in our lives. There are so many uncertainties and unknowns, and you wonder if school really prepared you because it seems like everyone knows so much more than you do.

Being a young adult is a time full of uncertainty, and that can be intimidating. But you don’t have to take it on alone. For all the apprehension this time brings, it also brings so many opportunities for beautiful new experiences: your first time living on your own, your first big paycheck, your first time being truly independent and watching yourself thrive.  

Mind Body Wellness is here to celebrate those highs with you and help you learn how to manage the lows. There will be mistakes and scary firsts, but for every fear there will be a new and exciting opportunity for growth.
